John 13:7 [NLT]

“ You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

“Don’t try and figure it out”….I have heard this in my Spirit so much lately.

Have you ever gone through a season that seems contrary to what the Lord has spoken? Maybe in the natural eye things look or seem backwards to you. Maybe you don’t quite understand the season you are in or how it is all going to work out. I want to encourage you - "Don’t try and figure it out.” These are the very moments God is still a promise keeper. After all He is the one that created and made every promise. We see in part, but God see’s the whole. Let your heart rest in His faithfulness today. I love the verse in proverbs that tells us to “Lean not on our own understanding but acknowledge Him in all our ways” Proverbs 3:5

Once we have this solidified in our hearts we get to go on the most exhilarating ride navigating the seasons with the Holy Spirit. Asking Him to direct and lead our every step. He is constantly making a way, constantly bringing us from glory to glory and sometimes in the most unexpected of way’s.

I once heard the Lord say to me “ You either trust me with everything or you don’t trust me at all.”  I thought I heard Him wrong….but then I realized in His kindness He was inviting me to see that I had really strong “trust” muscles in some areas of my life but there were some weaknesses in other areas that needed to be tended to.

Instead of trying to figure things out, what if we were a people who were so surrendered to the heart of God that all that mattered was being close to Him? Allowing His glory  & presence to be seen throughout us in every season. That everywhere we went the love of God and trust we have in Him would spill out onto our families, communities, city and beyond and everyone would want to know this God we serve. Let’s press in to simply know Jesus more and not try and understand things that “someday we will.”
